Many individuals have responded quickly also asking the government for help in protecting their properties that are about to have the ocean at their footstep. Due to erosional activities some properties along the Gold Coast are facing this severe problem. Gold Coast City Council has told local residents to not expect help from the council as they have had 20yrs of really good conditions where people did not fix up their rock walls and so this is their consequence. So many individuals on their own has started to make and build their rock walls to protect against the high tides. Many multi-million dollar houses are facing extinction in the near future.
