The Gold Coast
The Gold Coast, is an upcoming glamorous venue with around half a million people live and about 11 million tourists visit each year, spending near to $3.1 Billion every year. It is reputation comes from its beautiful city line and great beaches including the world known "Surfer's Paradise". It is Australia's 6th Largest City located on the South Eastern Queensland coastline, and home to the great theme parks, world-class golf courses and award winning Restaurants. Recently there have been many projects undertaken for the development of protection strategies for the beaches and to manage a sustainable coastline such as the Palm Beach Shoreline Project which was due to start on May 2014. There have been many other various projects put in place for the safety and protection of the coastline such as:

- Seawall Construction Project
- Project Kirra: the re-instatement of Kirra Groyne to its original constructed length.
